This project is located in the center of a residential area in Boston. Five different bus lines are in front of the building, making all of Boston accessible through public transportation. This building is also located in the only commercial block in this area. Newly developed buildings surround it. On the west side of is a music theater, and on the east is a lab building. This project includes an old 4-floor building and one parking lot on the center of the block.

This building design draws inspiration from the concept of sound waves, as illustrated in the image with overlapping, radiating circles that mimic the propagation of sound. Each level of the structure interacts with these “sound waves,” symbolizing the diffusion of music and its impact on the surrounding environment. The building’s form and orientation are crafted to convey a sense of rhythm and harmony, much like musical compositions resonate through sound. The overlapping red wave patterns suggest layers of auditory experience, with each floor contributing to the overall “soundscape” of the structure. This approach emphasizes the connection between architecture and acoustics, making the building not only a physical structure but a dynamic participant in the auditory landscape of its environment.
